First, I'd like to thank DMB for releasing the deluxe version of the 1967 season. I've waited a long time for this one. Thanks too to all who contributed to the project.
It's not uncommon to see settings for player preferences in these new releases that make one scratch his head in confusion. Clearly, there are mistakes made when entering some of this information. (Not a criticism--I make mistakes too.) I just played a White Sox-Senators game in which John Buzhardt of the Sox--seven games started, no complete games, rated "Fair"--remained in the game for its duration, despite losing early. The CM left Buzz in to pitch a complete game, which he lost, 5-0. I immediately checked his player preference settings after the game and discovered that all the toggles were set at "Never" for Relief Pitchers, Closers, Pinchitting, and Blowouts. An obvious error. I changed the settings to "More Frequent" for Relievers and Closers, and unchecked the other boxes.
I routinely look through all player preference settings, particularly those for pitchers, before beginning a replay. But some players fall through the cracks, as Buzhardt did.
P.S. I'm not a New Draftee--just haven't posted here in some time.
