Each time you make a purchase from the Diamond Mind Online Store (www.diamond-mind.com) you will receive a confirmation email, which includes a link to download your purchase.

Click on the Download Now button to begin your download.

Note - When you download a file, Windows will usually save it in your Downloads folder, which will be located in your user account folder.

In Windows 8, your user account folder can be found in the Favorites folder.

In Windows Vista and Windows 7, your user account folder can be found in the Users folder, typically this will be on the hard drive where Windows is installed. For example, if "DiamondMind" is our user account name, our user account folder will be C:\Users\DiamondMind and our download folder will be C:\Users\DiamondMind\Downloads.

In Windows XP, your user account folder can be found in the Documents and Settings folder. For example, C:\Documents and Settings\DiamondMind.

What you do with the file once it is downloaded and saved will depend on the type of file. The files you download from the DMB online store can be of three types, indicated by the file name extension (An extension is the last few letters of the file name, after the period). They are:

  • .alt files: Diamond Mind season files are typically of this type (for example, dps1981.alt). Click here for instructions on installing DMB Season Files.
  • .zip files: Products that include multiple files are downloaded as compressed (ZIP) files. The Diamond Mind Baseball version 11 installation package and the All-Star Teams Complete Set are examples of files that are of this type. These files must be "unzipped" before being used. To "unzip" a compressed (ZIP) file, right-click on the file and select Extract All from the pop-up menu. For complete instructions on installing Diamond Mind Baseball version 11, click here.
  • .exe files: Self extracting files that will install when you double click on the file name.
