You would figure Lee Lacy would be dancing off third when the throw went down to second. Even if the shortstop Runnels backed up the play to freeze the sliding Lopes, it would be a cakewalk for Lacy (Vg running) to score on that play. He stayed at third and Pee Wee Reese flied out to end the inning!
