A question for all you manual gamers i.e. all games played by human manager Have created the new DMB junkie rate of play statistic
The fastest rate that I ever played a season (difference bewtween time stamps on first & last box score) was 187 days for a 162g 12 team season.
That's 5.2 games/day. Do I need another hobby? Or in comparions to the community, do I actually need to pick up the pace??

2,168 games played. 1,287 days since start of project. 1.68 games per day That's an average of almost exactly 4 seasons per year. Let's see ... doing the math ... calculating ... will be caught up to present day in 2032. Dang, I need to pick up the pace, I'll be almost 70 at that time!

Each day of games: I play the Red Sox game play by play and autoplay each game (though I manually set the starting pitchers and lineup) through the seventh. I watch all close games for the 8th 9th and extra innings. I update teams to only react to injuries or real transactions and then three times per year I do a complete update of them. I then write about the games and post here. It takes me an average of 2-3 real days per day of games including down times while I do complete updates. At the rate I am going (if I can keep the same rate) I will finish the 1976 season in the October timeframe. It is nearly exactly the same pace as 1975.
Would love to get a netbook that I could use to play the game when commuting. Except my commute is not very long. Not sure how much use it would really be.
