Was it ever established why the advertising for the PC game couldn't be done in conjunction with the on-line one without there being an additional cost? I got extremely frustrated with never getting my answer to that question. I assume it's just failure of imagination on the part of the marketing guy (and, by extension, management).

Pretty sure Dayne said the PC game had been advertised in various places.
I don't think you are ever going to get that sort of information or exactly how much was spent on certain advertising.
I'm not sure why it couldn't be advertised together but I'm imagine there could be additional costs depending on the form of the add. If it's a print add for example, that could double the size of the add thus increasing the cost.
I'm pretty happy to see season/projection disks will continue

Does it really matter at this point where the game was or was not advertised, what the intentions were from the beginning, etc, etc? All we have now is the hope of patches, past seasons being available, past seasons being upgraded and future seasons. In other words, if you play solo or are in leagues and have been at least decently happy with DMB V9...life goes on as it has. Personally, I am not that disappointed. Sure, they can pull the plug, but the cause of that will be that the online system has also failed such that the company as a whole fails. We don't want that. From reading through last night's chat...if people stay constructive, Dayne, Luke and Jim and others will work to keep this going. If you keep attacking...what positive will that serve.
