Stop using and purchasing their products. Posts like the one above should just be deleted. They are pointless and serve no positive purpose. More and more assumptions, accusations and conspiracy theory. You are basically just trolling.

The fact that in the past new season disks were published, patches were made free of charge and updates were provided at a discount to prior purchasers actually "spoiled" us. I see his decision to sell to be similar to any of us deciding to change jobs. More money? Change of pace? Change of environment? Unhappy with your current position? Each of us develops his/her own opinions and expectations of the new owner. I for one am willing to wait and see what happens. If there is no version 10 in the offing, so be it. Even if 2008 is the last season disk produced, it simply shows that was the luck of the draw. Agitated e-mails at the current company really won't help. In fact could have the worst of all possible results. Just my 2 cents worth. Lynn M
Hi Lynn,
I appreciate your thoughtful response.
I think you've mistaken my passion for agitation. I'm quite calmly surrendered to the fact that what will be will be, that Dayne holds the keys to everything. He proved that beyond a doubt to all of us when he pulled out his Top Dog gun and singlehandedly disposed of 2DBB.
And I'm well aware that Tom had no "obligations" toward us ... do you honestly imagine that I'm sitting here feeling that he did? My post said nothing about any issues over what may or may not be felt by some to be "owed" us. Tom, and Dayne as well, owe us squat.
Frankly I for one have extreme respect for Tom, and highly doubt that he sold us out or doesn't care. I strongly suspect that he was bait-and-switched by Dayne. If, for example, as was clearly promised almost two years ago, Wheeler's supposedly being groomed for [whatever], where the heck are all but two years' worth of results of said grooming? I don't see 'em, and I ain't holding my breath that I ever will. I've waited and waited and have seen little to indicate that assertions made shall be honored.
I've always felt that the best recourse is to get to the truth of matters, and then to proceed, knowledgeably, from there. I can accept most anything, but smoke and mirrors just cloud the issue of what it is that I need to accept.

Defend him against whom/what? I don't see any statements made by anyone here that have attacked him.

Please point out to me specifically where anyone has been accused of selling out. The asking of a question is not equivalent to the making of a statement. Sheesh.

Where in this thread have you encountered any complaining?
I'm highly amused by certain people's apparent ability to have read my posts in this thread and then, in their own minds, transform them into "assumptions," "accusations," "conspiracy theory," implication that "there has [ever] been a 'rule' about how long someone had to have been involved with DMB to have an opinion," "attacks," "accusations," and "complaints."
People see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear.
