it stays resident in the memory of the computer...as long as during that session on the computer it has made contact to verify that indeed it's an ok license therefore to stop it's process means nothing after initial use of the program...if you block its access initially on boot via firewall than you would see that game would not run. These type programs as the say dial home on inital use...that why some av's remove them as malware, they are making a move to contact another computer & they see that move as malware...
