How is it a sham? I don't think the disk was advertised as having every player over 4,000 plate appearances-- just the greatest from each franchise. With enough players for 48 teams or so, it certainly meets that standard. I mean, I'd love it if it was like Strat's Career Historical Disk and had EVERYBODY, but that doesn't make it a sham.

The only thing I find genuinely disappointing about the disk is the limited number of catchers, which makes it basically impossible to "really" field the maximum number of teams-- at least, with injuries enabled. They need to relax the standards for backstops to the point where teams can carry an emergency catcher.

Anyway, great posts. I think at least 50 or 60 of these guys have strong cases for inclusion, even with the standards where they are now.

True maybe sham is too strong. I do own it but never use it. Mostly cause I believe DMB thrives with the use of splits. I know for season disks it is different but for the same reason I will not use zips. I think DMB's engine is at it's best when the splits are there to help obtain the results.
