In my 2008 projection season, figure I averaged 15 minutes a game through the end of July, based on playing the 7th through 9th of all games, and each Giant game. From August through September, I played 8th and 9th inning, using play to end of game for extra innings. That was probably 8-10 minutes a game. By September, I was pretty much autoplaying all games except the key matchups of teams in contention for the playoffs. So I could do an entire day's worth of games in under 3 hours. I had some free time this summer, so I might play 3 days worth of games (usually including a light Monday or Thursday schedulel) on the weekends.

The key was giving up all peripheral aspects of the game. Other than looking at the top 25 leaders in batting and pitching after each day's game, all I did was play the game.

But I was driven by a goal to finish one full season in my lifetime. I knew if I didn't do it this past year, it would never happen. It will probably never happen again.
