your assuming v10 now, I have seen no annoucement from those in power that any date is good. IMO this site has been dead consisdering 08 was released & people I thought still played this game. However it's amazing to me the lack of discussions. Anyway back to V10 Luke would have to tell me that it's a go & than I'd need to hear at least a date. The last I head February was tossed around as a date but if that was so a beta team would have be put together & I 'think' we would of heard something if both of those were happening...

Hmmm, la plus ca change....

Let's see, we had this:

Oct 9th: "2008 Season. We will start taking advance orders for the 2008 Season "Disk" on Monday, October 13. In addition to providing everything you need to play highly-realistic games using real-life teams, the upcoming upgrades to DMB will make this the most realistic season ever! The 2008 Season will begin shipping on or about Wednesday, December 10. "

Dec 9th: "Assuming there are no show-stoppers in the beta of 2008, we'll start emailing it Wednesday evening."

Dec 10th: "As soon as I post this, I'll be sending out the first batch of 2008 Season files! Enjoy!"

So, since the change over we had an announcement back on October 9th, a full 2 months before the actual release date and that target date was hit dead on. I think that over the years Luke and Pat have at the very least earned our trust.

On October 9th we also had this: "Version 10 is tentatively scheduled for release in February, 2009. When the feature list is finalized, we'll announce the price, the projected ship date, and the date when we'll begin accepting advance orders. Those future announcements will be coming from Luke and Pat at the appropriate times. "

First off, it specifically states that the date is TENTATIVELY set for February.

We also know that Luke is putting the finishing touches on 1974 and that even Luke is entitled to a bit of a breather considering he just finished putting out the 2008 disk and 'tis also the holiday season, even at DMB <G>: "

We will be closed Dec. 25th and 26th for the Christmas holiday.

The company (Diamond Mind and Imagine Sports) will be closed the week of Dec. 29 through Jan. 2. We will return to our regular hours of 9-5 Pacific time on Monday, January 5, 2009"

As for the forum being dead, I wouldn't say that, yes it has been relatively quiet, but again, it's the holiday season and MOST of the sports game forums I'm on have been just as quiet, including several that have released new versions recently and not just baseball.

Enjoy the holidays, but please let's not keep going down this same road, 2009 is right around the corner! image
