Dusty,

I was on the chat last night and the previous one you mentioned. I've copied the parts where Dayne spoke about v10 that time:

"dewelar:: I'd like to know if Version 10 is on the board at this point.
DMBDayne:: We have had some discussions about v.10. To be honest, we think the game needs a code overhaul.
DMBDayne:: too early to get into those kinds of specifics
DMBDayne:: The issue with graphics is this...
DMBDayne:: The current code limits what we can do. So, it makes more sense to explore options to rewrite part or all of the code so we can "do it right"."

I don't think he's changed his tune there at all. There was no set date for v10, if anything, I read it as a warning that it's a ways off at that point and nothing I seen has made me change my mind about that. I don't think DMBLive affects v10 at all to be honest, except for possibly in good ways, as they can cull more information from there about managerial tendencies and such, but I don't think people were pulled off v10 to work on DMBLive, and I don't think not mentioning it six months ago when who even knows if that was the plan, is an issue.

I'm not saying mistakes were made in the past, and I've pointed out when they have, but this was not one of them, and fences are being mended. Furthermore I'll say this: I can wait a year or two for v10 IF that's what it takes to do it right. I think we can all agree that most of the coding will have to be redone to add new features, and I'd rather wait for a finished, almost bug free product, which DMB is known for as opposed to a quick get-it-out-the-door update that introduces more problems than it solves just to appease us. Even WITH Tom at the helm, DMB was never known for being cutting edge and introducing new features quickly.
