Based on what David is saying, ZiPS may not be so vanilla splits-wise as is feared. A lot of people think standard historical splits are probably preferable, anyway. Anybody registered at BTF who can post a question in a ZiPS thread there? Maybe someone could drop Dan Szymborski a line? There was a question about platoon splits in the interview with him that was linked to or posted on the Baseball Analysis section of DMB's forum, but his answer seemed to construe the question more as one about playing time and plate appearances.
