I didn't catch this yesterday but if this is indeed the case, that the team only had four starting pitchers and one got hurt, that manager deserved what he got. If a manager is only going with four rated starters, it's his responsibility to check their status after every game unless injuries are turned off. Anyway, I autoplayed some more seasons with a strict 4-man but with other starters available and I never saw a pitcher start two games in a row.

Luke, the problem with this approach is for leagues like mine where it is a centralized internet league and a "block" of games is played on one day of the week throughout the season. None of the folks in my league have the free time to dedicate to playing each and every game of the season on an individual basis and it simply isn't possible to check every players injury status after each and every game.

Thus, I've always used the spot starter slots as the pitcher that would be used in place of an injured starter. I simply specify 0% so he doesn't get the start "in place of" a healthy starter with the thinking he will back up that slot in case of injury. If a "strict" rotation is specified and it is slot 4 starters turn to start, if he's injured and a spot starter is specified in slot 4 of the spot starters, the game should never jump down to grab the "starter" in slot 5 because the "strict" rotation should dicate that slot 4 gets the start no matter what.

I use the spot starters for each defensive position the same way. I specifiy 0% for the starting percentage just like I do with spot starters with the assumption that these players are being specified as "backups" for this position in the event the starter is unable to start.

Is there a way to verify if DMB does or does not use a 0% spot starter (and defensive player) as the 'backup' for that starting slot/position if the starter is unable to start? If the game doesn't work this way, how do we tell DMB who to start in place of an injured starter? (This would have rather large implications in my league since we've been running our teams thinking this is how you specify the player to start for an injured player.)

If it doesn't, then I don't quite understand the purpose of specifying any spot starter or defensive players with a 0% chance of starting and would think the game wouldn't let me do that if it is pointless to do it.
