Just talking about the game in general, I think it would take into account his current fielding rating when deciding how he would field a different spot. An EX 1b has a very good chance of being better than a PR RF.

My belief stems from some of the decisions the CM has made in making substitutions in extreme conditions, for example moving Nick Johnson (VG 1B) to play 2b when a PR rated 2b as available and then putting an unrated VG C to play 1b when a PR 1b was availalble.
