Early on in my DMBing, I made the "mistake" of replaying a cps season without real-life lineups and transactions while managing only one team. Not knowing any better, I pretty much ignored every other team's roster because I incorrectly assumed the CM would manage all the rosters with respect to overusage and the 25-man limit until Sept 1.

By mid-September, I started seeing the result of poor roster management of all these other teams. For example, it was common to find that the entire pitching staff of the opponent playing the team I was managing would be tagged ineligible to play from the outset of the game. If I was lucky, maybe 1 reliever would be available.

In hindsight, I could see that the rosters needed to be tweaked throughout the season in order to prevent overusage from overwhelmingly influencing (and distorting) the makeup of team rosters late in the season.

I enjoy most doing full-season replays. But at the same time, I don't want to be forced to manage the roster of every team. Consequently, until the game's CM is given the ability to manage a 25-man roster on its own, I don't plan on doing any seasons that don't have real-life transactions and lineups.

Fortunately, there are over 30 such seasons already available, and more on the way. So I don't expect to be pining for a new season to play anytime soon.
