awwwww, we're all friends here, you can just call me sposfan! :)

When I'm talking about a computer GM, it's one that can manage a 25 man roster through sept 1st on a day to day basis.

This is the way SOM worked. I would play with injuries AND transactions on, since I liked the ability to play with injuries, especially DMB's injuries which are much more varied, but I also liked having a 25 man roster and actual trades being made on the actual day of my replay. Once the season started, before every game, the CM would check each roster for injuries and overusage and then bring up a player on a one to one basis to replace them. The callup would be chosen based on position and usage and it would be for 1 game only and then next game it might bring up someone else. It seemed to work very well.

I'm not looking for a computer GM to make trades, or put players on a DL, nor one that would bring guys up/down based on how they're doing. I'm only looking for one that can make moves based on injuries and usage and that's it. This way I can use the older CPS seasons. When I play I want to be GM/manager of my team. I don't want to have to go in and constantly adjust lineups and depth charts every day or even every week to get players close to their actual usage.

The SOM one was actually an option that could be toggled on or off. It was also "smart" enough to have a 40 man active roster after sept 1st, which is nothing major.

As it stands now, there is no way to play the older CPS seasons unless you either enter every single real life transaction or monitor every single team for usage and injuries. I have about 60 CPS seasons "gathering dust" on my hard drive, that I just don't have the time to do all the research and inputting to play.

I might be the only one who wants to be able to play with transactions AND injuries on, but I don't think so, or SOM would never have introduced that option so long ago.

I personally, when replaying a season, like to use injuries and real life transactions. I want players to end up with close to their actual usage, but I love seeing a 45 game injury from a brawl and having to manage around it.

I realize Tom does things properly, in that he won't introduce new features until he is 100% satisfied with how it works, and I have no problem with that, but I hope he finds some way to implement this, seeing as it's been around for so long.
