With SOM, I found that I was playing Strat, not baseball. Maybe it was because I had 34 years invested in the game, but a major league manager just isn't hoping for a lucky "split" draw when the game's on the line. And there were just too many things that just can't happen in Strat (an error on a bunt, for example).

If it makes you feel any better, I was in the same boat as you, only 2 years longer. And I pretty much concur with just about everything you stated.

One other apect that really solidified my decision to go w/ DMB is that DMB is a one-sport company. And that's how I like it. Companies with multiple-sport products have to devote resources and time, delelopment and support towards those other sport games, thereby taking away resources and time, development and support from their baseball product. DMB focuses entirely on baseball.

So when looking to the future and considering in the long run which computer baseball product in the market today probably has the best chance for improvement, enhancment, evolution, and keping up with technology, DMB is it for me.
