Mike and Runhead...

Right on. Well said.

I love playing a game where my bullpen is tired etc and I have to squeeze in a fella for just one or two batters. Hanging on every pitch. Excellent stuff. Just like real life.

Today I simmed the 59 season with the L/R splits that...forgive me...can't recall that great fellas name at the moment and a quick search didn't help. Mercy.

Anyway the Yanks and Indians tied at the end of the season. I know, my WSox were 5 games out. They didn't win enough of those 1 run games as they did that year in real life.

The Indians staff was pretty depleted. They lead in a back and forth game in the playoff 4-3 in the top of the 9th. Richardson made out. Locke is pitching. About 20 pitches left before he tires. He is it. The other two available are already a T with pitches above the norm.

Mudcat Grant got through almost 7 full innings so Locke didn't have to come in too early. Following Grant's pitches the last few innings was terrific. Can Locke get the final 2 outs for the save? If not...the Yanks will look good in extra innings with a handful of pitchers available including Duren and Coates and Shantz. Fun stuff.
