What I love about DMB...

My current 1974 replay. I'm playing out all the games as the home team. First time I've done it. I've created my own spreadsheet for each league with a tab for each team so I can track their season. I write headlines for each game, one for each team from their perspective, so I can follow the storyline of their season. Having a ball. The only thing better would be if I didn't have to do RLT&LU, since guys that are off to glacial starts keep playing and, in some cases, get moved to cleanup because in real life they got off to hot starts. I know you can change it, but it's too much work for the way I'm doing it.

But I'm lovin' it. And I agree, it's better than a baseball program that churns out stats. It does feel like baseball.

When Nate Colbert comes to the plate for the Padres down by two with a man on and one out in the ninth, and you know there's a one third chance of a whiff, but also a chance at the game tying HR. Then Willie McCovey follows him, with about the same profile... and Jim Lonborg is trying to complete the game and even his record and bring his "Ernie" down near his real-life ERA...BASEBALL HEAVEN!
