What I love about DMB. I think I have told Tom this at least some of this. The thing I like most about DMB is, it is a place I can go and completely lose myself from the pressures of the outside world. Kind of like going to the ballpark. Whether it is just playing DMB or working on transactions, the time just literally flies. When working on transactions, I end up getting sidetracked reading some of the "other" baseball happenings from whatever time frame is being pursued at the moment. Playing the game at times makes me reminise (sp) about those backyard wiffleball games or when I got my first opportunity to pitch as a kid. Those hot summer days playing a game by just thowing a ball against a wall until my arm hurt, pretending I had 8 other guys with me on the field ...then turning around and doing it again the very next day. And all the time, doing any of the above, just being oblivious to the outside world. DMB does the same thing for me no matter if replaying 1908 or 2006. It just feels right.
