I agree the tendency to hit homers by weak hitters is a major factor in any inaccuracies in the Deadball Homebrews.

I should build another Funny Car on top of 1908's chassis. I think I could keep the ball in the infield--that would eliminate the homer problem. Of course, there will be side effects like a dearth of doubles and triples. If DMB allowed for us to put the ball on three planes, ground, air, and screaming line drives, I'd cut out the fly balls for Deadball which had more emphasis on battling for bases that today's slammer ball.
