Lard Ringner, this is what I based my comments on:

Still, we want to bring many more into the community. A large increase in our customer base will be great for both the STB competitive environment as well as our ability to invest in continued improvements to the game. To realize this kind of growth, Simnasium is pursuing several marketing ventures with big name partners. Our ability to negotiate attractive marketing partnerships is greatly enhanced by our ownership and control of STBs underlying Diamond Mind simulation engine.

I read pretty clearly what their intentions were in this statement. And their "ability to negotiate attractive marketing partnerships" also concerns me considering their privacy policy of sharing personal info if they so desire.

I guess I read their statement and it means something to me and apparently something different to you.

I think it's great that they are dedicated baseball fanatics. That is what DMB is pretty much all about. And the fact that they are improving their pay only online game constantly is good if you are actually paying for that service. Hopefully that same dedication will be applied to the DMB game.

We DMB'ers have been loyal to DMB for many years. Your couple of month relationship with Simnasium doesn't really compare. You are right though, actions speak louder than words, so please give us a few years time to develop a relationship with Simnasium and them with us, before we start treating them the same way we do DMB.

Right now the only actions is that they have purchased DMB and now have total control over that product. Since their primary interest seemed to be an online pay service, I hope you can understand our concern that this will remain to be their primary focus.

We are all hopeful they are as dedicated to the stand alone DMB product as the folks at DMB are. But until we see this occur, I guess our fears have gotten the best of us so give us time to recover from this shock and hopefully all will work out well for all of us.
