I know we are a self sustaining forum but could someone that runs the place clue us in on if 09 & or v10 is coming soon, next mth something.The web page is still sayng buy 74 which was months ago... Also I'm use to having my order in for the current disk at this time of year, thanks...

If the beta isn't done yet, I'd imagine 2010 will be the time, figuring any corrections from the beta, REtesting, finishing bells and whistles, the
holidays, et., et all...anybody know if beta is done yet??

Jeff, the last email from Pat said that v10 and the 2009 season disk will be ready for December so in other words beta is done.

My question is about the 2009 disk. If there continue to be delays in getting version 10 out, is it possible to disconnect the 2009 season disk from this and
go ahead and finish / release that? We are now within 3 weeks of the normal release date for a season disk and still no word on when ordering will open let
alone an actual release date.

I personally could care less about version 10. I've given up on it years ago; I would be just as happy with a version 9 season disk as soon as possible. If
version 10 ever shows up that will be a happy surprise.

its not December yet, when have DMB not followed up on anything they've said. v10 was delayed, they told us,and they told us why. i'm 100% positive that v10 and the season disk will be available as they stated in Dec, and on or about the 12th. till then you are just banging the drum,... and giving me a headache :P |

I do not think they would take preorders outside the window of a month so I would guess 30-45 days from now.

I just posted a message similar to this one on another thread, but the signs are somewhat ominous, IMO. It is at least a month after we have been informed re:
preordering. I am in three leagues, and a commissioner emailed Pat last week for some clarification. No response to date. It would certainly reassure DMB
nation if something came out about the 2009 and/or v10.

I would guess 2009 would be out by mid-december as all the new season disks are since it can be played on the current version. However as far as the new
version....not sure.

I guess the thing that bothers me is the significant amount of silence that we, as customers (some of us long tenured), have been given by the big wigs from
DMB.
Why can't we get a short, simple, accurate response from someone associated with DMB and their Version 10/2009 Season Disk? Is there not enough time for that? Is it that difficult? |

I have been in business since I was 19 (26 years) and this situation of the big wigs at DMB not being able to make an announcement defies all business logic.
This is only my opinion, but what might be happening is that they do not plan on making a version 10 or 2009 player disk. They hope to stall as long as
possible so that all DMB customers will still order player disks and the like. They know that if they announce that they are done with the computer version as
we know it, that we will all look for another game. This is strictly my opinion and I hope I am wrong, I have been a customer since the PTP days and I would
hate to see the game disappear.

i can't believe the negativity here.... just hang on - if you've been with DMB since PTP (like i have) have you ever been disappointed? why such doom
and gloom? the "big wigs" at DMB are Pat and Luke - as far as WE are concerned, regarding the season disk and V10.
think of it as a hitting slump, but they're our batting champ, and we KNOW they'll find their groove before long 
patience ~ be confident. it'll be out when they said, i don't need weekly updates :P |

You keep pointing to the 10/11/09 email. You know full well the LOYAL DMB customers are looking for an update off of the October 11th blurb. This is the second post you were kind of irritated with the question. Plain and simple when is the new version going to be released? Meaning (what day in December). Better yet give me the link where we can order it. I hope this DIRECT question can be answered with a DIRECT answer. Remember the few customers remaining are loyal DMB players who want to see the game around for a while.

What is the DIRECT answer you want? I think it's safe to assume that a definite release date has not yet been finalized or it would have been announced. Since DMB cannot yet specify the precise release date (in December, which is and has always been very aggressive for producing a new season disk) would you prefer they say, for the sake of giving a direct and definitive answer that they know they can stick to, "March 1 . . . definitely March 1 and the heck with having to do this work under the gun"? |
