Anyone know when MLB went to a maximum of 25 man rosters?

I am mainly asking because I want to know what the active roster size in 1994 was.

Clearly no team in Baseball can compete with the Yankees revenue stream. The Mets are one of the big spenders in the NL. Surely the healthiest thing for competitive balance in MLB would be a new team in the most densely populated area of the country. Put them in the AL and the same division as the Yankees. That would insure great ticket sales for 9 home dates and with lower prices (due to lower quality product) transplants might attend games to see their hometown teams. Pick some gang...

Hope Joba had a good nap in the bullpen while some guy who should be with the Columbus Clippers turned a 2-0 game into a 4-0 game. Wonder what the bottom of the 9th would've looked like if Chamberlain could've shut them down in the 8th and 9th, like he's paid to do and kept it 2-0? Now I remember why I rarely watch baseball on the tube.

Tonight's game between the Angels and the Yankees. First the bad call against Nick Swisher. Then the bad call against Mike Napoli. Both verified as bad calls via "the tape".

WTF.

This is 2009, yet instant replay hasn't found its way into settling disputed calls by imperfect umpires. No decent reason why not. Turns the whole game into a farce.

Didn't know where to put this. Does anyone know of a way to get a list of all players in 2009 that played for more than one team?
I've tried a ton of varied searches with no results. Maybe it's just too early for this data.

I am not a Minnesota Twins' fan and definitely not a Yankee fan but there should be an overide to the rule that gives the 1st place team the power to force the winner of a one game playoff to scramble in the early hours of the morning to be ready to play the next day. The Major League Baseball Network has weekly great games from the past. The last two were seventh game Dodgers vs Twins and first game of Tigers vs Cardinals. All this great pitching from Sandy Koufax and Bob Gibson and you know what I notice? Bill Freehan's away jersey has his number 11 on his left sleeve while the rest of the Tiger players have the number on the right side. Was this just a mistake by the maufacturer or did Freehan prefer to keep his throwing arm clear of double ones....

Never threw a complete game, didn't even average 6 inings per start yet completely destroyed his elbow. Should he have been pampered more? Perhaps the pitch count of 100 that's currently the benchmark isn't conservative enough? Maybe it should be 3 pitchers scheduled to pitch 3 inings every game, perhaps that will save all these young arms from overuse and abuse and prolong their careers.

I was babysitting my 2 grandsons and had the MLB 77 WSeries game on and noticed that there was Buehrle pitching. After my brain kicked in a minute or two later and I saw the fans standing in the 8th I realized something special had to be going on and ran and put it on the dvr.

Interestingly, the author writes mostly about music for the Chron, but he's a far better writer than any of their baseball writers.

All-Star Game roster question

Yesterday I was watching the 1987 All-Star Game which went to extra innings. I heard Vin Scully mention that guys taken out of the game could come back in if they ran out of players. When did this rule change? If MLB had this rule in place in 2002 we never would have had the Tie Game in Milwaukee.
