I've had it. This whole endeavor was a wash and I am throwing in the towel. Would he simply stop Diamond Mind as a whole? I guess he could take the compnay and shelve it. The truth of the matter is that he seems to be struggling. I think he throws in the towel in 2010....

Best way to share "live" games in a centralized league

What is the best way you all have found to "broadcast" games live in a centralized league where almost nobody has DMB? Most of the league members are on some chat program, but they're all on different ones. I have a client that can have individual chats with any of the protocols, but there isn't one that I know of that allows for a group chats across multiple chat clients.

So, what do you guys do? Set up a webex or similar? IRC? Try to get everyone to use the same...

It is amazing how much Billy Martin is slighted because of his off field actions that he is not mentioned in the same breath as Whitey Herzog. These guys are so even as managers in there careers it is scary. Martin took bad Minnesota, Detroit and Oakland teams and turned them around quickly. Plus Martin owned Whitey when he was with KC. 1976 & 1977.

This is not a new PBP but the age range in my Legend's League is 16 to 57. The older guys keep up with the youngsters.

ranking column on team total reports?

Is there a way (either in the enclyclopedia or in the game itself) to get a column on the team totals report which numbers the teams? I know i could export it to excel, but I would like to do it quickly

The SSL, an active 30-team, hands-on league playing the latest season disk, has one immediate opening. We are just finished our playoffs, and the offseason trade window is just about to open so you'll be able to tinker with the roster pretty soon!

Pretty amazing that the White Sox could win this game, making nine errors along the way. Bobby Boken made six himself; he had three going in to the game. He did have a shaky year defensively; but I haven't seen anything like this in all my years of playing apba/bbw/dmb (and I go way back). This from my 1934 replay. Oh yes. Bobby B tapped in the game winner.

GBL has openings for managers for its 22nd season

The GBL is looking for managers. The players from the 5 available teams have been placed in a pool.
The new managers will submit draft lists for these players towards the end of December.
The regular Free Agent draft will take place in January 2010.
The GBL will be using the 2009 data disk for our season which runs from April - Sept.
Please check out our website at gblbaseball.com to see a list of available players for the new managers to draft.

Corrupt Transaction File

I somehow corrupted my 1984 Transaction file. When I play an as played game I get unable to load lineup because one or more players are missing. How do I rebuild the file?

quick qestion on schedule generator

i have a 4 division league with 6 teams in each. i want to play 130 games in my season.
if i set it to 8 games (4h/4a) vs my own division (40 total) and (5 games) 3h/2a?? vs the other 3 divisions, i get 130 games.. but won't some teams play more home games than others? does the DMB scheduler balance the h/a equally so that 1 division doesn't get ALL the added home games?

how does it, if not balanced?

I dont know about you guys, but it just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling on Fridays with dmb.. For some reason, dmb goes good with Fridays... I just have a sneaky suspicion that come next Friday, Dec 11, 2009, Pat and dmb are gonna make both 09 and version 10 available for purchase. I dont have any insight, just a "gut" feelin, and all the people doubting Pat and Luke(yes in that order-sorry Luke), will eat crow.......

Oh and BTW, Yankees and Red Sox bite!

Although this article is from 2003, it seems relevant in 2009. About a month ago I was doing some research on teams with the highest combines OPS+ of their 4 starting infielders and wasn't able to find any that ranked higher than the 2009 Yankees. I'm not done looking yet, but it is very possible that according to that yardstick the '09 Yanks will rank as having the best-hitting starting infield ever. Anyway, here's the link:
